I absolutely love the feeling of sitting back and admiring something I've created! It's amazing to have something tangible to show for time well spent. With so many different crafts to choose from, it can be hard to know where to start. That's why I started our crafting journey with my love of creating mosaics! For Hillgrove, mosaic bird baths are a standout piece that provides our feathered friends with access to fresh water all year round.

Join us with a group of friends as we can easily accommodate up to 6 people in a session. We provide all the necessary materials and safety equipment for all courses, and no prior experience is required as we offer full guidance throughout your time with us.

Looking for a relaxing and creative activity? Join our mosaic class and discover the joy of creating unique designs with beautiful colors. I will guide you through the process and help you unleash your creativity. The session takes a minimum of 3 hours, sometimes 4, depending on your design. There are examples to inspire you or take a look at some of the wonderful bird baths already created by our guests in the gallery at the bottom of the page.

£60 per person - session lasts 3-4 hours
Come and explore the art of wood burning. You will be shown how to use the wood burning pen to get the best results for your finished piece. A wide variety of stencils are available for your use, or of course you are welcome to do your own design.
This session includes upto three of the following items, plus of course materials for you to practise with;
Serving/chopping board
Square or round coaster
Small serving tray
Bottle opener
Key ring
Your finished pieces can be taken home with you on the day
During this session you will be using extremely hot wood burning tools. As a result, this course is only available to those over 18.

£45 per person session last 2 hours
Unleash your inner artist with the messy, yet beautiful, world of acrylic paint pouring at Hillgrove Nature. In this workshop, all materials are provided with lots of beautiful colours to choose from. Most importantly aprons are provided, but please don't arrive in your Sunday best!
First you will see an example of how the Dutch pour technique is created, layering paints to create your masterpiece. Then it's over to you. You’ll get to practice on two art boards before creating your final masterpiece on canvas.
Come and get creative, and don’t worry about the mess – we’ve got you covered!
Your masterpieces will taken 24 hours to dry completely and can collected at any time to suit you the following day
