DO YOU HAVE PARKING AVAILABLE?
Yes. We have onsite parking available for approx 8 cars. There is no fee for parking. Please park considerately. Hillgrove take no responsibility for your vehicle or any contents.
WHAT FACILITIES ARE AVAILABLE AT HILLGROVE
As well as free parking, you will have the use of a small kitchen where free tea, coffee and squash is available. There is also a large fridge should you wish to store your lunch.
Please note decaffinated tea/coffee or lactose free milk are not available.
There are also toilet facilities and lockers available for your use.
WHAT AM I LIKELY TO SEE DURING MY VISIT?
There is a full list of what we have seen in our garden and around the hide area here. However, we can not guarantee any particular species, as I'm sure you can appreciate, they are wild animals.
DO I NEED AN EXPENSIVE CAMERA AND ZOOM LENS?
In all honesty, it depends what you want. The birds feed very close to the hides, in some cases within 1 meter. I would recommend a minimum focal length of 300mm for close up photos
HOW MANY PEOPLE ARE IN EACH HIDE?
We have purposely built single person hides. This ensure you always get a view and in our hides, you have two windows to choose from.
If you choose to book both hides, your party will have exclusive use of both hides.
ARE THERE CHARGING POINTS AVAILABLE?
Yes. In the studio and kitchen area you will be able to charge phones, camera batteries etc. Please do not leave items unsupervised whilst charging.
IS WI-FI AVAILABLE?
Yes, upon request. However, it will be provided through a mobile dongle, so upload speeds will be limited.
WHAT TYPE OF FEEDERS DO
YOU USE?
Wherever possible we use natural perches. The majority have been found as fallen branches. We also re-used the huge tree stumps from when we removed the overgrown leylandii from the main garden. This gives you a much more natural feel to your photographs.
DO I NEED ANY EXPERIENCE TO DO MOSAICKING?
Absolutely not!
