Welcome to our crafting community!

I'm Claire and I am the co-founder of Hillgrove Nature alongside my partner Paul.

Whilst I deliver the craft courses, Paul takes care of the gardening side of the business - more on that to come.

I loved crafting from an early age, very much inspired by my wonderful Mom.  Like most of us, life took over and crafting, or sometimes even taking time for myself fell away as life just got busy.

Older and wiser, I now appreciate making time to do things for pure joy and crafting came back....with a vengeance.

Very quickly friends were encouraging me to start offering courses and sharing the joy and passion of creation with all of you.  (There's a lot more to that story, but you'll have to visit to find out more - let's just say it took a strange path through moving into a 17th century cottage and a group of archeologists!)

As much as I love crafting, I work full time in my 'normal' job, so only have capacity for classes at the weekend.  Since 2023 many talented ladies and gentlemen have joined our classes and I've made some wonderful friends along the way.

There's so much more I would like to do, but in the meantime I am really proud to have started building a crafting community with number of guest tutors who offer complimentary classes at weekends and more recently during the week too.  Our fantastic guest tutors bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to our craft room, giving our guests chance to return and enjoy learning new skills and our tutors the opportunity to expand their client base, all whilst enjoying the relaxing atmosphere of Hillgrove.

If you're a tutor looking to share your expertise, we invite you to join us and contribute to our vibrant learning environment. Please contact me below or through social media, together, we can inspire and empower learners everywhere!

Really please to introduce Jo, from Willow with Jo.

Jo started weaving during the COVID pandemic lockdowns and now teaches her own classes.

She focuses on simple, classic, beginner projects, allowing you to learn the basics as she did.  Jo says "watching someone go from 'I'm not very creative, I'll be rubbish at this' to holding something they've made themselves and being really proud of it is the best feeling."
