HILLGROVE NATURE

We moved into Hillside Cottage one week before the first national lockdown in the UK in 2020.  Full of ideas and dreams in the home of our dreams.

 

We are situated just outside the village of Ombersley, about 5 miles north of Worcester and 8 miles from junction 5 of the M5

We have dedicated our 3.5 acre garden to wildlife and growing our own fruit and vegetables and crafting.

As a keen wildlife photographer, I wanted to attract as many different types of birds, insects and mammals as possible.  An area of the woodland had to be cleared by national grid - we took full advantage of this and have set up multiple wild bird feeding stations, squirrel pit stops and natural ponds.  Not forgetting to two bespoke single person photography hides, designed with photography in mind in consultation with professional wildlife photographers.   Here you can enjoy being surrounded by woodland and be sure your photos will have natural backgrounds.  Where ever possible, we use natural materials for feeding such as tree stumps and branches.

We have also created a wild meadow which attracts lots of different types of moths, butterflies and other insects and also provide a space for the local bee keeper to place hives. 

​

The outbuilding has been converted into a photography studio and training room, with kitchen and toilet facilities.  In addition, we are opening a new craft room nearly 2024 and bookings are now being taken
